Positive changes, to help the world ๐ŸŒŽ

I’m always thinking of little way, to make a big difference to other people life’s. It’s a good feeling helping other people, and I’m sure it’s amazing for other people to be on the receiving end!

Coffee stamp cards โ˜•๏ธโ˜•๏ธโ˜•๏ธ

<
all love a coffee stamp card, 9 coffees later and you can finally have a free one! What a great achievement! It's feels amazing right getting something for nothing! Imagine how amazing it would be to give you free coffee to someone who is homeless, who is freezing from sleeping on the road. Why not give it to someone, who has nothing? You will honestly feel ten times more amazing!

Food Banks๐Ÿช๐Ÿฉ๐Ÿง๐Ÿก๐Ÿฒ๐ŸŒฎ๐Ÿฅ˜

โ€ขDon
to your local food bank is a great way to help your local community. There are many ways you can donate, you can donate food that you have in your cupboards. Let’s face it, most of us have tins in our cupboards that have been there FOREVER! Pop them in a bag and drop them to your local food bank.

Buy one get one freeโญ๏ธโญ๏ธ

โ€ขWe al
a buy one get one free! Even if we went for one item, it’s great because we can use the other item when the first one runs out. However, you could always donate to your local food bank or to a hopeless person. They will

Clothes clear out๐Ÿ‘š๐Ÿ‘•๐Ÿ‘–๐Ÿ‘”๐Ÿ‘˜

  • Why not sort thought your clothes to declutter your bedroom! Clothes can be donated to local charity shops or again for the homeless. Every time I have a clear out, I donate to different charity shops as I can never decide on which charity is best

Hobbies to fundraising๐Ÿ“šโšฝ๏ธ๐Ÿ’๐Ÿคผโ€โ™‚๏ธ

  • Fundraising doesn’t have to be difficult, in fact it can be fun! I once did a read-a-thon, I read six books in a week and raise over ยฃ100 for charity! I had the best week of reading and I did it for a great cause. That can be the same with anything from baking to jogging, there’s always room for something.

McDonald’s stickers ๐Ÿคถ๐Ÿผ

  • Every year McDonald’s do monopoly give aways sometimes you win big and sometimes you won food or drink prizes. For the last couple of years, when I have one a meal prize I have given it to a homeless person. Each time they have been so grateful and commented on how thoughtful I was. Defiantly made me feel good.

Spend time with the Elderly ๐Ÿ‘ต๐Ÿผ

  • The Elderly can get really lonely and look forward to social interaction. There are a few ways in which you can help. There is a charity called St Vincent to Paul, which is charity which involves volunteers visiting elderly people or helping them with small chores like their food shop! There is a club in Brighton called the casserole club. This charity pairs you up with someone Elderly in your area and you can choose to drop them dinner or have dinner with them. I know a few people that are involved with these charity’s and they say that it is so rewarding.

Work it girl!

I always find it difficult on where is best to buy my work clothes from. I am an estate agent and always need to look smart at work.

The bases of most of my outfits is to have a couple of pencil skirts and smart trousers and alternate between tops / Shirts and blaisers. I also like to wear work dresses, usually a skater style dress with tights. I swap a change between wearing dolly shoes and work heels. In the winter I always wear heeled boots.

I have put together a couple of outfits that I wear to work:

Dorothy Perkins – Polka dot, Skater dress with white collar

I love this little dress, I wear this with black tights and black heels! I got lots of compliments wearing this dress. It’s very flattering for my figure type.

Boohoo.com – grey long sleeved Peplum Top in their basic range

This cute grey top is super cheap and is in the basic boo hoo Range. It can be slightly see though but I wear a strap too under neath. I match this top with either a black pencil skirt or black smart trousers. For shoes I will either wear black dolly shoes or black heels. So simple and super comfy.

Light knit blue dress from H&M ( Bought last year)

This dress is perfect for all seasons, it’s light enough to wear in summer without tights but also great in the winter with tights.

Striped peplum from Primark

This striped peplum is super cute and again flattering for my figure type! I wear this usually with a black pencil skirt or trousers!

Floral 3/4 length sleeved top from Matalan

This top is really girly and looks really smart. My mum loved this top so much she bought herself one. It looks smart with or without a blaiser.

I hope you enjoy this post! I would love to hear your favourite places to buy work clothes!

Wedding Guest

Being a wedding guest is actually so stressful! Especially when it’s in a different town. I mean not only have I got plan what to wear, how to do my hair and what shoes to wear; I have to also plan accommodation and transport. Thank goodness, I am not the bride .. I would be a major Bridezilla.

So I’m attending a wedding Mid August as my cousin is getting married. The church ceremony is in Reading and the reception is a half hour drive away in a fancy hotel.

The outfit

Okay, so being a female my first thought is what to I wear. Actually this thought also guided me to another thought, I probably should loose some weight? It’s defiantly helps having a goal, for weight loss. Now I’ve lost the initial weight, I was ready to order my dress 3 weeks before the wedding. I trolled through website after website, I looked in Next, Missguided and New look. Do I go extra, so I go sophisticated, do I go summery.. what if it rains. Eventually ( 2 weeks into looking) I found a light lilac, off the shoulder, sweat heart cut midi dress that I thought could be the one. I ordered it from Boohoo.com and had it delivered the next day. I loved the colour when I opened it, and I tried it on and it fit great! It was maybe even a little to big for me ( which is good because I always order the same dress size on boohoo.com)

The Nails

I had my nails done a few days before the Wedding. I had Almond shaped weddings, with purple Sheelac and Chrome over the top.

The Hair

So the day before the Wedding! I have visit Pretty Please in Hove ( where I get all my blow drys done) They have washed my hair, and pinned it up! I’m to sleep with the pins in, for my hair to bed ready for the BIG day ( My cousins Big day, I’m sound like its mine)

The Accommodation

This was complicated! So the wedding ceremony is in Wedding but the Reception is in a different town. So I have booked the Premier inn, in Reading by the oracle (ยฃ52 a night) for the Friday. Then on Saturday, I’ve book The Bird Hand Inn which is where the reception is! ( so I can get drunk and stumble back to me hotel) and finally I’ve booked the Premier Inn ( again) so that I’m back in Reading as my family live around the corner! NIGHTMARE! But I do think this is the easiest way to do it!

Pre Wedding Eve

It’s the day before the Wedding! Today so far I’ve worked until 1pm, had my hair done and it’s now 3pm. I’m almost finished packing but I’ve taken up 2/3 of the suitcase because I couldn’t decide what make up to bring, so I’ve brought all my pallets! ( not sure where my boyfriend stuff is going to go woooops) I’m waiting for Tony to finish work, so we can get on the road!

On Our Way

4:30pm and we are on our way! There is lots of of traffic, so we are taking the country roads! It takes us a while to get there and we arrive at 6:30pm at the Premier inn by the Oracle in Reading. Time to get ready for some dinner in the hotel, I’m looking a bit crazy with my pinned up hair.

Wedding Day

It’s the Big day ( For Sam and Ashley). We woke up at 8am, and got changed into some comfy clothes for breakfast in the hotel. The breakfast wasn’t that nice, as it was a little greasy for my liking. I enjoyed a Costa Cappuccino and a glass of fresh Orange juice.

Once our bellys were full, it was time for a hot shower and a hour and half to do my make up. For my make up I used my Huda Beauty Rose gold edition for my eye shadow, my Revolution baked bronzing Pallet and my usual make up. I actually did my eye shadow first, as I knew it was going to be quite heavy. Then cleansed my face , before doing the rest of my make up. Once, finished I unpinned my hair and I was ready to go.

My Dress is from Boohoo.com, and it’s a Sweet Heath cut, midi dress. I wore my black scrappy block heels from Primark and my Envelope clutch from New Look.

Once, I was ready ( and took a few selfies) we got in the car to pick up my Auntie Lizzy before driving to the church.

Church Ceremony

The wedding Ceremony started late ( which is typical for a wedding) The Church was beautiful with Tall stained Glass Windows. The church was were my nanny and Grandad for married many many years ago. The Ceremony was lovely and the priest made lots of jokes keeping us entertained throughout.

The Hotel

We checked into the bird in hand Hotel after the Ceremony and freshened up. My dad went in a separate car and managed to sneak KFC into our room! We were all greeted with Pimms and sat outside in the Sunshine. The Hotel was super cute!!!

The Food

Unlike most weddings, the sit down meal was a BBQ!! I Had a hot dog, a burger and lots of salad. I also discovered that the American mustard I had smothered my food in was actually spicy French mustard. The puddings were a miniature selection and were very delicious.

The Toast

I must of been tipsy at this stage because I kept joking that they were going to give us roast, rather then us doing a roast. I realised this wasn’t the case when we were all handed a glass of wine. Lucky my dad and Tony didn’t like there’s, so after I drank there’s too.

The Party

Our tummies were full, our livers were saturated with alcohol and we were ready to boogie. There was lots of R&B tunes for me to dance too.

Bars Closed

At 11pm it was last orders but we were not ready to go to sleep yet. We decided to have an after party. It was the Bride, The Groom, my cousin, their friend, Tony and myself that carried on through. The Hotel told us off for drinking downstairs, so we drank our champaign in the car park. ( classy but fun)

It was safe to say we were all pretty drunk at the wedding. I had consumed Gin, wine and champagne ( I won’t even tell you about my hangover) I thought it was a good idea, to tell everyone to go for a family breakfast at 9am the next day. When i woke up, it didn’t think it was such a good idea.

Overall

It was a great Wedding! So lovely to see my family old ( 13 years I haven’t seen some of them for) that had travelled from America. It was amazing to drink with my cousins, and I’ve actually invited them for a night out in Brighton.

Brighton Pride 2017

I love Brighton Pride! It’s not just celebrating the wonderful LGBT community; it’s also about celebrating diversity and how beautiful Brighton is as a city! Pride starts with a fabulous parade, which leads to the main event in Preston Park. There is also a two day Street party on St. James’s street. I attended this last year and can’t wait to attend again this year!

Pre- Pride preparation

Five weeks to go
We bought our tickets five weeks before the event. We bought early bird ticket which cost around ยฃ12. I’m going with a big group this year and most of us for early bird tickets.

4 weeks to go
The first thing I ordered was a rainbow highlighter off Amazon! I am sooooo excited to is this. I also ordered Huda Beauty strobe light lipgloss!

Two weeks to go
Me and the girls have booked in to have our hair done at gorgeous hair Boutique in Hove. We are having space buns covered in glitter!

1 week to go
Trying to decide on a outfit took a few weeks! With less then one week to go me and my boyfriend bought matching tie dye tops, literally love him for being such a good sport! That’s only one day outfit so I need another one! Ahhh!

5 days to go
My friend ordered 5 grams of glitter, and now I feel I don’t have enough so I have ordered another pot! I also bought eyelashes for both days! Vaseline for my glitter to stick too! I’ve also purchased some different colour jelly and shot glasses because I’m making VODKA SHOTS!

Pride eve
My vodka jelly shots are setting!! I’m soooo excited for tomorrow! We are having a bozzy picnic before we go the St James street.. so we have bought cup cakes, crisps, wine and Cider!

Pride Pride Pride
My dad made me a toasted cheese and bacon baguette for breakfast to line my tummy for pride. I showered and washed my hair ready to go to gorgeous hair boutique, to have my hair done! I had two French platts, and space buns with glitter roots! I thought she done an amazing job and I loved my hair!

We had our picnic at the green on the level, opposite St James street. We did a few shots and I managed to drink my bottle of wine and it was safe to say I was tipsy going into St James street. There wasn’t as many acts on this year but it was still an amazing atmosphere. Everyone dressed up uniquely and Dancing in the street. It was great that Tesco was open as it allowed us to buy cheaper drinks. There where more toilets this year, but also more people. It was really good, I felt like I got home at 3am but actually it was only 10pm! (Maybe because I went to cheeky chicken and it was packed)

Sunday Pride Pride Pride

Sunday is always my favourite day at Pride! It’s like a massive rave in the street, with dancers on stilts and dancing on the scaffold on R Bar / Revolution! This time we started our day having lunch and cocktails in yates! Lunch to get rid of our hangovers. Cocktails to ease us back into alcohol. We got to St James street around 5pm, which was later then planned. The second we got there my hangover disappeared and I was ready to dance the night away. Revenge bar really pulled it out the bag with their dancers on stilts and fire breathers! Plus there alcohol stall accepted card! Literally spend 4-5 hours dancing in this area! The atmosphere was just amazing, when I stopped dancing for a second and looked around I felt so proud to live in an amazing city! Feeling the love for Brighton right now. Shortly after the street party closed, fire works went of at the Brighton pier! They were amazing and better then some of the paid display I have been to before. It’s felt like the perfect way to end a amazing weekend, BUT I didn’t stop there we danced for a little longer at Charles Street bar, it was crazy packed but it was still had the fun atmosphere from the street and party! I left there at quarter to one in the morning!

The Morning from the night before
All I want to do today is eat and sleep! I’m glad I took the day off to recover! I spent half an hour in the shower trying to take the glitter out of my hair! I’m also feeling achey from dancing for two days and not sitting down! It was worth every ache and pain I’m in today!

I cannot wait for pride next year, if I could book now I would!

Slay at Life

  • Own a diary – A diary can be such an advantage in life. You can organise the balance of your life from work, social and personal. I also write to do lists in mine and highlight when they are complete. This will help you BOSS at life. Make sure all your work jobs are done before you go home, make a note to call someone on a certain date to look efficient. Haven't called your nan in a while? Make a note in your diary to call after work. If you don't do it, you will have to tip ex it out and you will feel guilty; therefore it's in your best interest to stick to it. I also allocated time for myself 7-8:30 – pamper time. Then on my to do list remind myself to buy face masks.

  • Me, Myself and I – let me tell you, that the only person you will spend every second and every breath with is yourself. If you are not loving yourself, then you are not slaying at life. You have to make sure the relationship with yourself is healthy. like if you don't spend time with your Boyf, you feel annoyed that your relationship is crap, same kind of thing. If your not allowing time for yourself, then you feel unwanted and unloved. As I said above allocate once a week minimum to wack a face mask on, soak in the bath and read a book.

  • Healthy eating – boring alert I know. However, it is scientifically proven that a healthy diet improves energy levels, sleep levels, alert levels and your mental health. Not to mentioned eating healthy can give you better skin, nails and hair. There are also long term befits which can reduce your chances of diabetes, dementia and cancer. It's a no brainer but of course, it's also good to treat yourself now and again. If your going to eat lots of ice cream one evening, make sure you have some fruit and veg in the morning.

  • Relationships – This stands for everyone if you are single, dating or in a relationship. Do not revolve your life around finding a boyfriend or based on your relationship. Yes, having a boyfriend is great but it's not always a walk in the park. Sometimes you argue and it may seem like the worst thing in the world, easier said then done but switch your phone off and distract yourself with other aspects of your life. Never carry your baggage into work, leave it at the front door. If your relationship is not your world, then you won't feel like it's falling apart when something goes wrong. This stand for you single or currently dating people, don't make this your focus in life make yourself your focus, your career and what you want to achieve.

  • Fitness – oh yes I said it! When we think of fitness, we mainly think of loosing weight! Which is brilliant, and great for your ego. Regular exercise can also help with improving your Stamina, strength, and flexibility. It is also proven to reduce stress, lifts moods and help you sleep better. It is also rumoured to keeping you looking and feeling younger. I used to suffer from Chronic Tension disorder and the doctors told me to excersise, at the time I could not think of anything worse then to work out when I had a throbbing headache but believe me it helps. I feel great working out in the week, helps me to feel fresh and be clear minded.
  • No bad vibes – I love when people say this phrase because who needs bad vibes in their life? If your "Friends" make you feel negative, then they are bad vibes and you need to cut the cord. Easier said then done, but it's something That I done last year and I feel much better for it. If you see a negative situation arising, remove yourself from it don't need to get involved. If you feel like going somewhere is dodgy or you don't get the right vibes then don't go. You will feel much more positive in life.
  • Ask for help – As much as it's nice to be independent we don't know everything in the world. Not only that, but sometimes our opinions are will come from our personal experiences and emotion. A outside opinion may have other life experiences that can broaden the opinion. There is no harm in asking for advise and as much as we want to show our parents and grandparents that we can do this Adulting life, sometimes they are the wisest people for advice. Speaking to people about your problems, can also give you relief and be beneficial for your mental health.

  • Keep learning – We go to school, we go to six form, you may go into university and then our given education stops. Why not learn a open university course online? Why not do a project manager course online? Why not see what your local community hall are teaching. It's important to keep your brain sharp, it can help with your interaction skills and may give you interesting things to discuss. It can also help you progress in your career.
  • Eat the frog – this may be my favourite saying! If you have something bad you have to do like make a bad or uncomfortable phone call, or let someone down; the worst thing you can do is to think about it all day and keep putting it off. The saying eat the frog means stop staring at the frog worrying about it, just do it and get it over and done with. Leaving it to later will not help your case and if anything it can make it worse. Most of the time I find that people are understanding and there was no base for my original anxiety.
  • Do something different – do something you wouldn't normally do. Try a water sport, go for a long country walk, visit a museum. We find our self saying "I'm boring, I don't really have any hobbies", unless we try New things we won't know what excites us. The internet is your hero, search fun things to do in England and start making your list.

These small tips all add up to give you direction in life, organisational skills and positive mind. They really do make the difference and even if you try one step a week and find only a few of them help, then at least your life has still been improved.

Most importantly be you, because no one can slay the way you do, like you.

Good bye England prep

I am totally aware of my lack of blogging recently and despite having time of work since Christmas I have been crazy busy!

Before Christmas break, I finished at my job! My last day was very emotional as I received lovely cards, a big beautiful bunch of flowers and went out for cocktails after work. I will miss my team very much, they are my estate agent family and could not of asked for a better bunch of people to work with.

I had a great Christmas and New Years spent with family. I also visited reading after New wars to see the rest of my family and spent two days there.

I’ve had lots of preparation to do such as buying last little bits. Sun cream and bikini are very hard to find in January! I’ve ordered Thai money which is called Baht. The money difference is crazy I ordered ยฃ600 in English and works out to be around ยฃ24,000 in Baht.
I’ve been going to the gym most days, although I’ve slacked this week as I’ve had so much to do. Tommorow I am gyming and swimming, Friday I will gym and Sunday morning I will gym. The sun beds at my gym are broken so I’m having to fake tan!

My besties planned a surprise for me on Friday night. Which not only was a sleepover but we had Thai take away, cocktails, snacks DVDs and matching pjs.

The next day was our leaving drinks at the pub, which ended up going to a few bars in Hove but I had a lovely time and spent Sunday being super hungover ooops.

Mistys Bar, Hove

I am now 5 days to go. I’m currently sorting out all my laundry as I want everything clean and fresh for when I come home. I’m spending this afternoon with my niece making cakes and pizza. Tommorow taking Tony’s niece swimming. And family party at the weekend and monday we fly ahhh.

I will be blogging while I’m away, tell you all about my exciting adventure.
Love

What I learnt in 2016

As 2016 draws to a end, I’ve taken the time to reflect on what I have learnt. The year has been full of many ups and downs. I’m excited to for 2017, with all the new things I have learnt.

Focous on you, yourself and I

You are the only person that you have to spend your life with, every second and every breath. If you have ever watched black mirror (first series) it shows a girl living inside of her own brain and she had to control her life with a control panel. The truth is, that’s what life is about you are in control of the panel. If your not happy, then change.

Avoid processed food, healthy food can be fun

Courtesy of Joe wicks AKA the body coach, I have learnt that processed food is a no no. If you do not know what all the ingredients are on the packet don’t eat it. I’ve also learnt that you can eat burger and chips on a diet but you make the burgers yourself from lean turkey meat and your fries are sweet potato. Eating healthy dosent have to be boring!
You can do what you want no commitment

The start of this year I moved back home with parents and I was going to save to buy a house. Avoiding going out, so I could save became boring and I realise my heart wasn’t 100% in it. Living at home, working full time with no commitments e.g. Children, meant the world is my oyster. With this in mind I decided to save to go traveling next year ! Super excited

Going to the gym early morning is actually easy and refreshing

Okay, so I thought it was something I couldn’t do. After going a few times, I found it easier to go early morning before work then I did going to the gym on my way home. I actually, feel very refreshed after a morning gym session and am ready to conquer the day!

Work with higher authority rather then being scared of them
I used to be scared of anyone in a higher position then me. My big boses would come in, and I would say hi and avoid any further conversations. This year I learnt I am more knowledgable then I know and instead of avoiding them, I should take time to talk to them and I learnt a lot. I am now at a point of my life, that when I have a good idea I have enough confidence to put it forward to someone higher and the results have paid off.

Stop being mean to my hair no more bleach
Looking at photos from last year to now, I’ve gone from bleach blonde hair to ombrรฉ. My hair was like straw and when I would brush my hair, it would malt everywhere. Planning to go traveling helped me realise I can’t have hair like straw out there and needs to be manageable. I went ombrรฉ and had the brown matching my roots. I stopped bleaching my hair and instead had the end toned every couple of months. My hair is so much more healthy, I don’t panic about getting my roots done and I’m not worried about it when I go traveling next year. I used to straighten my hair everyday and now I only straighten or curl my hair at weekend IF I’m going out.

Granny pants are not the end of the world

This year I’ve been in and out of hospital and nothing makes me feel better then getting into bed in my granny pants with an oversized tshirt. They are much better for us girlies and when you go to the gym FYI thongs are bad for you.

Time out = mental health

This reflects on all of the above but the main thing is balence. Yes it’s good to push yourself at work, yes push yourself st the gym, yes have a social life and see your family. Also yes, to taking a couple of hours or a Sunday out of all of the above and taking time for you. Have a bubble bath, light some candels and read a book ( hide your phone) get into some pjs paint your nails and watch a Disney film. Honestly, you will thank me. You cannot push yourself in anything, if your mental health is not okay, your brain won’t cope or fulfil its full capacity.

Sober times with friends

As great it is to have a good drunken night out, I’ve realised this year how important it is to do sober things with your friends. Example, on Monday night we have girls night with my besties, we cook dinner together, get in house coats ( dressing gowns) and watch Tv / do nails ect. I also have a friend ( Rosie) that I meet once a month and we go for coffee, or lunch at pompokos. It’s so important to spend this sober time with your friends. It’s allows times for bonding and time to talk properly.

2016 has taught me a lot about myself, my true friends and family. It’s given me confidence at work, about my weight. It’s shown me I can I get through some of my worse times. I cannot wait for 2017, with everything I have learnt!

Important to have a time outย

Do not get my wrong, I enjoy my job. At the moment we are short staffed, so my usual hard work is timesed by three. The problem is you come in your take a good run between 8:45-6 and then you start again. Eventually, our going to get tired from running and you will start jogging. In my industry they is heavy target driven, jogging is okay.
I decided to take 4 days off work. 2 days being over the weekend and Monday and Tuesday. I made no plans until the days.

Saturday morning was not the best day, as I ended up in hospital after call 111. Luckily by lunch time, I was given the go ahead to go home. My boyfriend who had taken me to hospital took me for lunch at a place called roosters ( nom nom) and then we went shopping for Rucksacks for Thailand. I also bought a blue torch and blue water bottle.

Saturday night, we went to town for my friends leaving do. I had some proseco at home before meeting them in town for cocktails.

Sunday morning, lunch time and early afternoon I spent recovering. I was woken by my niece at 2pm, with her chanting lazy bum and bundling me. From there we took selfies, played charades and had dinner.

Monday morning, it was time to hit the gym. I did a hour work out and then went for a swim, steam room and sauna. I went straight from the gym to Hove, slug and lettuce to meet mum for lunch. In the evening I met my friends Beth and Ariana for a cider and chicken gougons.

Yesterday, was my most relaxing day. I got up and slowly got ready, I had my fruit salad and pinapple juice in front of the TV. I got ready to meet my friends; Faye, Holly, josh and Nat for some Thai food in Brighton Laines. I had a lovely penut based curry with prawns.

After lunch we drove to Rottingdean beach. I loved walking over the rocks to get into the sea. We saw crabs, shrimps and fish in the rock pool. We sat on a rock and paddled our feet in the water. We sat on the beach for a couple of hours, talking mainly about traveling.

After the beach, I was craving a swim so I stopped at the gym on my way home and went for a half hour swim and then sauna and steam room.

I had a relaxing evening at home, before retiring to bed around 10pm.

Having time off, gave me lots of time to reflect and reenergised my life. I felt cleansed from stress from sitting on the beach the sun giving me vitamin D and a tan, and the water washing off my stresses. I was surrounded my friends and family and had more time to spend with them. I excersise And ate some healthy foods and some unhealthy foods. I had a dance in town and drunk some great cocktails. From my reflected time, I realised I have a great boyfriend, great friends and have lots to look forward too.

Wine tastingย

Thursday evening was not my average Thursday evening. Usually I would finish work, make myself some dinner watch eastenders and go to sleep about 10.

The girls had surprised me with a wine tasting session as one of my birthday surprises. I finished work at 6pm and walked down to Pompokos with Serena to meet Saskia there. For dinner I had a chicken namban don, or you could just call it number 18.

At 7pm, we walked up to the ten green bottles in the laines where we met Anna.

We taste 6 different types of wine; white, red, Rose, port and sparkling white wine. My favourite wine was called ridge way and was a white sparking English wine from ditching. I learnt a lot about swishing the wine round and understanding that the speed of the “legs” falling down the glass showed how much suger and alcohol was in the wine. I learnt how to slurp the wine to allow oxygen to enhighten the taste. To be honest I was tipsy after two glasses of wine, so imagine how I felt after 6.

After this we went to the cocktail bar next door and order two cocktails. Saskia encouraged me to try a Long Island which was actually very nice. Anna and I drunkly salsa danced around the bar, and we were rewarded by a free cocktail from the manager.

From here we went for a boogie at the Font and then to the cricketers in Brighton.
Our friend Oli kindly picked us up and gave us a lift home. I’m sure he loved all of us girls singing Justin bieber songs in the back of his car.

Is it Summer time yet?

It’s that time of the year, when the sun comes out for one day. Everyone whips out their shorts and heads to the beach.

What happens after that? It rains for a week and we all get depressed and wished it was summer.

This summer I plan to make the most of it. Warm jogs along Brighton seafront and BBQ with my girlies in the evening.

Also, my job become more enjoyable. Walking to viewing and appointments is much better when its sunny.

This year I will be going to Amsterdam in June,  hopefully it’s sunny there too.

The other thing I love about summer is the fact it’s my birthday in June. It’s also my dad birthdays on the same day.

All this remanising about summer made me look over my summer photos and I thought I would share some with you guys.
