Eco spa in Hove

I love a massage! I love to unwind. Letโ€™s face it although the gym is good for you, it can also take its toll on your body. Even sitting over your computer isnโ€™t good for your neck.

Iโ€™ve had my fair share of massages from fancy hotels to Thai massages in Thailand.

Eco Spa is much more then just a place for a massage, itโ€™s about the whole experience.

When you walk in the door, you are welcomed by wonderful Aromas. The receptionist welcomes you, and offers you a water or a herbal tea.

If itโ€™s your first time, you are asked to fill out a form which gives you the opportunity to mention if you have any medical problems.

Once you have done that you are taken into the main massage room. Which again smells beautiful, always has relaxing music in the back ground. You have a short consultation, where they ask how you feel in body and mood. What pressure you like your massage at? If you have any specific tensions? This gives me peace of mind because I already know, that this lady knows how I like my massage.

I get undress and get under the warm bedding. Todayโ€™s massage was 30 mins, back neck and shoulder. She placed warm flannels on my back before we begin. I felt so relaxed but at the same time felt that my knots were removed. I love the feeling of them popping and feeling released after. Itโ€™s comforting that the lady checks that the pressure is okay. The massage goes very quickly as itโ€™s so enjoyable. I can honestly say, that I have been here twice and have had the best massage.

After the massage is over, I was asked again if I wanted tea or water. I was then allowed to go to the meditation pods. The meditation pods are little rooms with pillows. They have mood lighting which you can change. A colouring book and some cute books to read. I am not the meditating time but I love sitting in here for ten mins after my massage to fully relax. I usually turn my phone off for these ten mins and just take some time to focus on me.

I would highly recommend this Spa. Today I has Elouise massage me and she was great. I even purchased some of the herbal tea as itโ€™s so yummy. I canโ€™t wait to book me next appointment.

  • The Elderly can get really lonely and look forward to social interaction. There are a few ways in which you can help. There is a charity called St Vincent to Paul, which is charity which involves volunteers visiting elderly people or helping them with small chores like their food shop! There is a club in Brighton called the casserole club. This charity pairs you up with someone Elderly in your area and you can choose to drop them dinner or have dinner with them. I know a few people that are involved with these charity’s and they say that it is so rewarding.

Pamper yourselfย

Being a girl is tough right?

When we get stressed, our skin gets stressed and then we get stressed that our skin isn’t looking great.

Once every week or every two weeks. I write in my diary an hour that I am spending with only myself.

During this time I usually take a long soak in the bath with either some Radox bubble bath or a Lush bath bomb.

I will also do a face mask which I usually go my charcoal blackhead mask. As I try to sauna and steam room at the gym in the week, this helps with opening up my pores.

I like to exfoliate my lips and add lipbalm, this helps for a smooth look when I apply lipstick.

During this time, I would like to read and have time away from my phone and away from humans.

I made my first Vlog, about how to treat yourself! Enjoy!

Koh Samui, Chawang beachย

We arrived in Koh Samui on February 13th.

We have spent a total of 3 nights and four days here.

The first day was spent traveling to the island, 3 hour coach journey and 2 hour ferry. Once we arrived on the island, we walked to the Big Buddha temple that’s close to the ferry port with our big rucksacks on. There was a few stairs to get to the top, but the golden Buddha and the views were certainly worth it.

After, we got a taxi to our hotel. We have checked ourselves into a hotel called pleasure Harbour Bouqitue close to which is close the Chaweng beach. The hotel is decorated erotically, which is interesting for Valentine’s.

We have found our favourite bar and resteraunt called Backpackers. Amazing cheap food and I finally tried my first Thai green curry and it was amazing. I can’t wait to have another. We have gone here at least once a day, for a game of pool or connect four.

The first night, we decided to have a few beers. There was a bar at the end of the strip called tastys, where the seats outside where swings and the toilet was a golden thrown hidden behind a book case, defiantly recommend trying here. We ended up finding a small club, which was full of Thai people only and dancing until 3am drinking vodka buckets for 99 Baht. We had a fabulous night, and defiantly recommend this area for partying. The only strange thing, is there is vissably a lot of prositutes around and with that comes a lot of seedy men.

February 14th, Valentines we spent the day adventuring and found a arcades and cinema. The Arcades was a lot of fun, from old school street fighter games, to the new 4d shooting games. At the cinema we watched the new 50 shades of grey. If you go to watch this, make sure you stay to the end of the credits, as you get a sneaky preview of the next film. We ended Valentine’s with a drink at our hotel, where I finally had my first glass of red wine since we have been away.

Yesterday was beach day. Chawang beach is surfers paradise, where the waves are constantly high. It’s very difficult to swim here and if you doggy paddle like me the waves will take you. I did however, have so much fun holding hands with my boyfriend and jumping against the waves with my goggles on. We then had massages on the beach, a Thai massage for one hour. It felt like heaven, I enjoyed mainly when she massages my back and my hands. After, our massages we had some food at the street market by the shopping centre. Potato cheese balls and chicken on a stick yum yum yum!
We had an early night, as we where tired from jumping with the waves for hour and hours and felt super relaxed after a massage. I literally had one beer with food and was ready for my bed.

Today, we are checking out of our hotel and heading to a different part of the island, where we have booked another hotel.

Hope everyone had a great Valentine’s Day.
